We deal with all aspects of subsidence, heave and landslip damage resolution including provision of reports on causation, full lifecycle project management, provision of expert witness reports and resolution of disputed technically complex claims.
Complex Cases
We are regularly appointed by Clients to resolve problematic, complex or longstanding subsidence claims and have extensive experience within this field. This includes damage and movement to buildings as a result of a failed underpinning or repair schemes where we are able to forensically review the available technical papers, undertake further detailed investigations and provide options for rectification.
We are also able to review longstanding claims where a dispute has arisen in respect of progressing the claim. Whilst our services are provided in the context of building, construction or consultant engineering matters, our qualifications and experience in loss adjusting gives us an unrivalled insight and understanding of the insurance related issues relating to subsidence claims.
Expert Reports
We are able to provide subsidence expert witness reports including single and joint expert reports which are compliant with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
We have been appointed as an expert by solicitors and local authorities on numerous cases where causation is in dispute on tree root nuisance claims and foundation failures. We are also appointed as an independent engineer where the Financial Services Ombudsman has required an independent technical review of a claim.
Listed and Heritage Buildings
We have experience in specifying and project managing remedial underpinning and structural repairs to listed or heritage buildings. This includes liaising with the planning authorities, the preparation of a design and access statement and obtaining all required statutory approvals.

Underpinning Schemes
We have experience in designing and project managing underpinning schemes for over 25 years. We regularly provide full investigation, design, specification and project management services for all forms of underpinning and ground stabilisation schemes. This includes all forms of underpinning including mass concrete, beam and base, pile and beam and piled raft foundation schemes.
We work with specialist consultants and contractors to ensure that the most appropriate and cost effective form of foundation stabilisation is adopted and all forms of specialist repair techniques utilised.
